When the day comes for your solar to be installed, our professional solar installers with have your system installed safely and running within as little as 4-8 hours. Once completed we explain how the system works, how to monitor it and how to turn it on and off.

After completion we submit an electrical request to your network and they take over by scheduling a meter change for your solar export. The meter change is out of our control but we assist in the transition to ensure a speedy process.

Hybrid Inverters which both connect to the electricity grid and a battery in your home are becoming increasingly more popular as a way of both having the power you need, but saving a lot on your power bills.

In residential solar storage systems, a hybrid inverter is a solar inverter that can simultaneously manage inputs from both solar panels and a battery bank, charging batteries with either solar panels or the electricity grid (depending on which is more economical or preferred).

Tesla Powerwall

The Tesla Powerwall is a rechargeable battery system with a capacity of 13.5 kWh, functioning as both an energy storage device and a home battery. It has the capability to detect power outages or blackouts and provide backup power to your home in the event of a grid failure.

The Powerwall is an efficient and reliable battery that stores energy, automatically becoming your home's power source when the grid goes down. Unlike traditional generators, it ensures that your lights stay on and your phones remain charged without requiring maintenance, fuel, or causing noise. By combining it with solar panels, you can recharge the Powerwall with sunlight, enabling your appliances to operate for extended periods.

By storing solar energy, the Powerwall reduces your dependence on the grid, allowing you to utilize the stored energy during times when sunlight is unavailable. It can be used independently or in conjunction with other Tesla products, providing cost savings, reducing your carbon footprint, and preparing your home for potential power outages.

The Tesla Powerwall is primarily designed to store the power generated by solar panels. It automatically supplies the stored energy to your home when needed, making it particularly useful during nighttime, power blackouts, or when your solar system is not generating power at its maximum capacity due to cloudy weather.

During a blackout, the Tesla battery will deliver the power stored in it back into your home until it is depleted. When combined with a properly sized solar system, the battery should have enough charge to sustain your energy needs until morning, ensuring that your refrigerator remains powered and food doesn't go to waste.

How Powerwall Works

A Powerwall system consists of at least one Powerwall battery and a Backup Gateway. The Backup Gateway provides energy management, metering and monitoring functions for Powerwall. It controls connection to the grid, safely disconnects your home and starts backup operation during an outage. The Backup Gateway also includes communication functions for up to 10 Powerwalls and receives over-the-air updates for the system.
